August 2026 Mississauga Condos

The Marilyn Monroe Condos Mississauga at 50 and 60 Absolute Avenue created a lot of excitement when they were built, and I remember it well. There really wasn’t anything else like them in Mississauga at the time.

Their curved architecture still makes the towers stand out today. However, after buyers started moving in, I began seeing something you couldn’t appreciate by looking at the buildings from the outside. Some of those spectacular curves created surprisingly challenging floor plans.

The short version

There is a lot I like about Absolute World, particularly the recreation facilities and location. However, if I were buying here myself, I would start with 70, 80 and 90 Absolute Avenue. I generally prefer their more conventional layouts. I would still consider 50 or 60, but only after carefully evaluating the individual floor plan.

What I Remember About 50 and 60 Absolute Avenue

When the towers were new, I personally encountered owners who wanted to sell relatively soon after moving in. I’m not suggesting that reflected everyone’s experience or the buildings’ current resale performance.

What stood out to me was how some buyers responded to the unusual floor plans after they had actually lived with them.

In some of the curved suites I walked through, furniture placement could be challenging. A room might have generous square footage on paper but less usable wall space once you tried to position a sofa, television, dining table or bedroom furniture.

I also remember electrical outlets not always lining up with where you naturally wanted your furniture. That wasn’t an electrical defect. It was simply another practical consideration created by an unconventional room.

Would I Buy in the Marilyn Monroe Towers?

If I were buying at Absolute World for myself, I would start by looking at 70, 80 and 90 Absolute Avenue.

That preference is based mainly on layout and functionality. I generally prefer their more conventional floor plans.

However, I wouldn’t automatically reject 50 or 60 Absolute Avenue. There are units in both towers that work very well. I would look carefully at usable wall space, furniture placement, room dimensions, storage and balcony access before deciding.

If you’re downsizing from a larger home, measure the furniture you really want to keep before choosing a condo. Our Condo vs. Bungalow for Downsizing article looks at some of the other decisions worth considering before leaving a larger property.

The Absolute Club Is One of the Best Features

One thing I have always loved about Absolute World is the recreation facility, particularly the gym.

I’ve been through many condominium buildings over the years, and I remember being genuinely impressed by the fitness facilities here. Depending on how you like to exercise, you may find there’s little reason to maintain a separate gym membership.

The shared Absolute Club includes indoor and outdoor pools, cardio and weight rooms, an indoor walking track, squash courts, a gymnasium, steam rooms, entertainment areas and guest suites.

For me, these are amenities residents can actually use rather than features added simply to make a condo brochure look impressive.

Location Is Another Reason I Like Absolute World

Absolute World’s location near Square One and Mississauga City Centre is one of its strongest advantages.

Shopping, restaurants and everyday services are nearby. I also like having Whole Foods Market close by. It’s one of my favourite places to shop, particularly for organic produce.

For drivers, Highway 403 provides convenient access across Mississauga, with connections to the QEW and other major GTA routes.

MiWay and the Future Hazel McCallion Line

MiWay serves Mississauga City Centre, and the City Centre Transit Terminal is Mississauga’s main transit hub.

The Hazel McCallion Line, also known as the Hurontario LRT, is still under construction. As of August 2026, it is not carrying passengers, so I would consider it a future transportation benefit rather than a service residents can use today.

What I Would Check Before Buying at Absolute World

Beyond the floor plan, I would look closely at the condo fees, parking and locker arrangements, building rules and status certificate.

Absolute World consists of separate condominium corporations that share certain facilities. Therefore, don’t assume that something applying at 50 Absolute Avenue automatically applies at 60, 70, 80 or 90.

I also remember parking being problematic during Absolute World’s earlier years. Rather than relying on that historical experience, I would verify the current resident and visitor parking arrangements for the specific unit and building you’re considering.

Our experience with Absolute World

There’s a lot I genuinely like about Absolute World. The recreation facilities are excellent, particularly the gym. Square One and Mississauga City Centre are nearby, and the location works well for both drivers and transit users.

But if I were buying here myself, I’d start with 70, 80 and 90 Absolute Avenue. That’s my personal preference based on the floor plans I’ve seen. I wouldn’t rule out 50 or 60. I’d simply pay much closer attention to the individual suite. Don’t buy the building. Buy the right unit within the community.
